The reason is because NBC has decided to start airing episodes of its new comedy Stumble in that time slot, starting January 5.

New episodes will continue to air on Fridays at 8:30 p.m. ET, but “execs hope to give Stumble some extra exposure by placing repeats, starting with the show’s pilot episode, on Mondays behind St. Denis Medical,” Variety notes.

NBC plans to air the remaining episodes of The Paper on Saturday, January 3, although the whole season has been available on Peacock since September.

There will be a second season in 2026. Find out which other NBC shows just got renewed.
