The 33-year-old podcast star and wife of Jason Kelce opened up on the latest episode of her Not Gonna Lie With Kylie Kelce podcast, addressing speculation about why she never publicly congratulated her brother-in-law and his now-fiancé.
During the new episode, she noted that she recorded the prior episode “before the announcement was posted,” and that she got a bunch of comments calling her out.
“I have made a very conscious effort to not discuss Taylor and Travis on this podcast because news outlets, tabloids and AI, quite frankly, like to post,” she explained, via People.
She added that the outlets pull quotes from “whatever I say in reference to them.”
“People do not realize that, you at home, you have your family. And in your family, you might have a brother-in-law and they might be dating someone and you might have a soon-to-be sister-in-law,” she continued via Page Six, saying she has “a relationship personally with them that no one else is involved in.”
“I don’t need to come out here and make statements when I already talked to them. You see what I’m saying? I don’t need you to clickbait my s–t. I don’t need you to take my comments and try and dissect it,” Kylie added.
“Our relationship is private between us, so it’s OK that time made it so that we didn’t congratulate them in the last episode and also that I don’t always have to comment on what they’re doing in their lives because I can just text them and talk to them,” Kylie went on to say.
“But it’s our private relationship. So that’s my brother-in-law, Travis, and my soon-to-be sister-in-law, Taylor,” she added.
“I think it goes without being said [that] I am so incredibly happy for them. We are so excited that they are taking this next step. The girls are so excited to get another aunt.
