The thriller is set in a world where survival is instinct, but humanity is a choice. The Dog Stars tells “the story of Hig (Elordi), a young pilot who, together with a military survivalist, Bangley (Josh Brolin), has carved out an efficient but isolated homestead in a brutal post-apocalyptic world until a mysterious radio transmission spurs Hig to venture into the unknown in search of the hope and humanity he still believes exists.” The movie is based on the book of the same name by Peter Heller.
The Ridley Scott-directed movie – which also stars Margaret Qualley, Guy Pearce, Benedict Wong, and Allison Janney – hits theaters on August 28.
In a recent interview, Jacob shared how a surprising incident during the filming of Wuthering Heights led to him being hospitalized.
