Kim Zolciak has temporarily lost custody of her four youngest children to estranged husband Kroy Biermann.
Amid their nasty divorce, a judge has ruled on the 40-year-old former NFL player’s emergency motion and gave him primary custody of their kids Kroy Jr., 14, Kash, 13, and 12-year-old twins Kaia and Kane, TMZ reported on Friday morning (May 1).
Following the ruling, Kim, 47, told the outlet, “The judge’s decision … is temporary until our return court date on May 21st when we will have the opportunity for a full hearing.”
“While I want this process to be over for my children more than anything, I am looking forward to our court date on May 21st when we will finally be provided with an opportunity to present the truth,” she added.
For now, the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star will have limited time with her minor children every other weekend. The former couple will continue to share joint legal custody of the children, but Kroy has final decision-making authority regarding educational, non-emergency medical, and religious decisions.
The judge’s new ruling comes after Kim‘s custody was limited last month, only to get reinstated after she completes court-ordered therapy.
Last week, Kroy filed a motion in court accusing Kim of neglect and claiming she’s “more selfishly concerned with her own image and her work options” than their children’s well-being. He argued that all four children should be under one roof and called Kim “unstable and unfit.”
Along with the four children she shares with Kroy, Kim is also mom to daughters Brielle, 29, and Ariana, 24. After marrying Kim in 2011, Kroy legally adopted both Brielle and Ariana.
Last year, Kim appeared on E!’s Botched Presents: Plastic Surgery Rewind and revealed all of the plastic surgery and cosmetic procedures she’s had done.
