Seth Rogen is reiterating that his friendship with James Franco is no more.
The 44-year-old The Studio star was friends with the 48-year-old actor for many years, and they worked on several projects together.
In a new interview with The New York Times, Seth shared an update on where they stand and if they’d ever work together again.
“I’m trying to think how much I want to personally share about this,” he said. “I honestly think the nuance of it is too personal for me to get into right now. It is a very personal thing. There’s the public-facing side of it, which I’ve spoken about, and I have the same stance publicly that I’ve had, and I think the proof is in the pudding — I have not worked with him in years.”
“But the personal side of it is just so nuanced, and it involves people that I don’t know if I should be dragging into this,” Seth continued. “I don’t know what I would benefit from getting deeply into it. Nothing has changed since the last time I talked about all this, and I haven’t worked with him in a really long time and I have no plans to.”
When asked if he still talked to James, Seth simply stated, “I haven’t talked to him in a long time, no.”
Back in October 2024, James said their friendship was over, and a few months later, Seth said in an interview that anything about his former friend in the media “wasn’t on my radar.”
Prior to that, in 2021, Seth also said he wasn’t planning to work with James anymore following sexual misconduct allegations about him.
