Catherine, Princess of Wales joined her husband Prince William and more members of the British royal family to attend Garter Day.
The group met at Windsor Castle in Windsor, England for the annual Order of the Garter Service held at St. George’s Chapel on Monday (June 15).
Each year, the Order is celebrated with a service and procession at the castle to celebrate Britain’s most senior order of chivalry.
For the occasion, Kate Middleton donned custom Patrick McDowell, featuring a satin coat dress lined with floral embroidery. She also had on a tulle skirt underneath to elevate the silhouette. Kate accessorized the outfit with a wide-brimmed sun hat.

Prince William, King Charles, and Queen Camilla wore blue velvet rubes and ostrich-feather plumed hats, a tradition dating back to 1348.
The royal’s website shares some background history on the event, “In medieval times, King Edward III was so inspired by tales of King Arthur and the chivalry of the Knights of the Round Table that he set up his own group of honourable knights, called the Order of the Garter.”
It continues, “Today, the Order includes The King, who is Sovereign of the Garter, several senior Members of the Royal Family, and twenty-four knights chosen in recognition of their work. Knights of the Garter are chosen personally by the Sovereign to honour those who have held public office, who have contributed in a particular way to national life or who have served the Sovereign personally.”
This event follows Kate and William‘s recent attendance at the 2026 Trooping the Colour event with their kids.
