Sarah Michelle Gellar and Rudy Pankow are teaming up together for a new movie!
The 49-year-old Buffy star will play Grim Reaper, while the 28-year-old Outer Banks star is set to play the Devil in the upcoming supernatural romance feature Thud, according to Deadline.
Mali Elfman is set to direct, with a script by Noga Pnueli.
What is Thud about?
Per Deadline, the movie “watches as the Grim Reaper and the Devil meet cute at a three-day destination wedding, falling in love after colliding at the event, where they’ve each come to sow their own chaos.”
Filming is set to take place in Los Angeles with a California tax credit, and the movie reunites SMG with Radio Silence, one of the production companies on the film, after previously working together on the recent Ready or Not 2: Here I Come.
Rudy was most recently seen on screen in Reminders of Him, and will be seen starring in the movie Never Change!, which debuts on Hulu THIS Wednesday (June 17).
He is also rumored to be returning for the upcoming final season of Outer Banks, after allegedly being spotted on set. While this is yet to be confirmed if he’ll be in the new season, it comes after his character was killed off in season four.
