The Debut is coming soon!
The official trailer for the Jesse Eisenberg-directed and written film arrived on Tuesday (June 23).
The film stars Julianne Moore, Paul Giamatti, Halle Bailey, Jesse Eisenberg, Cara Buono, Craig Bierko, Eldar Isgandarov, and Bernadette Peters.
Here’s the official synopsis: “When Mona Friedman is cast in a bit part at a small community theater, she transforms from a shy, unassuming housewife into a zealous method actor willing to do anything to protect the artistic integrity of her marginal role—even if it means waging war against the show’s domineering director.”
“I write all sorts of things. Most are unpublished, unproduced, like most people, maybe,” Jesse explained via IndieWire.
“I have a higher batting average as an actor, so I have an agent and everything, so it gives me a little bit of a shortcut, but everything informs something else. I wrote a musical 15 years ago, and it never got produced, and the next movie I’m making takes place in the world of community theater, and I’m able to repurpose music that I wrote. [When] you’re desperate to produce something, you figure out whatever it is that you have in you that you could take advantage of in terms of previous things that actually informed this.”
Jesse is not returning to reprise the role of Mark Zuckerberg for Aaron Sorkin‘s The Social Reckoning, a follow-up to The Social Network and now we know why.
The 42-year-old star shared some rare insight into his family life with wife Anna Strout and their 8-year-old son Banner.
Did you see that Jesse popped up in NYC to do magic on the streets?!
