Phil Mickelson is facing a newly public allegation from Ashley Perez, the ex-wife of Pat Perez.
In an interview with Skratch, Ashley claimed that Mickelson, a 55-year-old professional golfer, showed her a nude photo and propositioned her in 2015 while she and Pat were staying at a New Jersey villa owned by Mickelson during a tournament.
According to Ashley, the alleged incident happened while the three were drinking wine on the patio and Pat had gone to the bathroom. She claimed Mickelson showed her a full-body nude photo, including his erect penis, before allegedly telling her, “I’m going to leave my bedroom door open tonight. When Pat falls asleep I want you to come see me.”
Ashley said she did not tell Pat immediately because she did not want the situation to “get messy” while he was still competing, but later told him after the tournament ended.
Pat previously hinted at a major falling-out with Mickelson on a podcast (via TMZ), saying, “I have a different hate for Phil than most people. And people won’t know the story. I’m not gonna go into the story again, but Phil crossed the line with me that is just uncrossable and unforgivable.”
Mickelson‘s team responded in a statement, saying, “Some of the allegations circulating about Mr. Mickelson are false, and others revisit mistakes he has already acknowledged, publicly or privately. Stacking the disputed claims next to the ones he has owned does not make them credible. It instead contributes to a false and misleading narrative.”
These new allegations come after Mickelson was kicked out of a prestigious golf club earlier this month for allegedly making “nonconsensual and inappropriate” contact with a female employee.
