Tilly Norwood is becoming a movie star.
The AI “actor” will front Misaligned, her first feature film, from Particle 6, the AI-focused studio that created her, according to Variety. The project is being billed as a comedy-drama set inside the “Tillyverse,” a surreal digital world somewhere in the Cloud.
Rather than giving Tilly a traditional backstory, the movie leans directly into what she is. The story follows an AI being with no body, no childhood and no lived experience of her own, only access to everyone else’s. Her carefully controlled world changes when a seductive rogue bot from the dark web convinces her to abandon her guardrails and begin developing desires, impulses and ambitions.
Particle 6 says the project will be made as a hybrid production, with directors, writers and editors working alongside AI specialists. The studio also says AI training and mentorship will be part of the production process.
“Our work this year has proven something we suspected all along,” Particle 6 CEO and founder Eline van der Velden said, adding that the company sees AI as a tool that still needs human storytelling judgment behind it.
The announcement comes less than a year after Tilly became a controversial talking point in the industry, following claims that she was close to signing with an agency.
In early 2026, Tilly released a song and a music video.
