Hilary Duff just recently launched her Lucky Me Tour and she’s in Los Angeles right now for two sold-out shows at the Kia Forum, a venue that means a lot to her.
While performing at the iconic arena on Wednesday night (July 8), Hilary made it clear to the audience that this show was truly “what dreams are made of” for her.
“I played Texas like a week ago and I was like, ‘My hometown, my hometown!’ This is different,” Hilary said. “I can’t tell you the amount of shows I’ve seen at the Kia Forum. I just saw The Boss here. Did anyone see Bruce [Springsteen] here? Not really the same demographic, I know. My husband loves Bruce.”
She continued, “I saw Bruce here a couple months ago. And I went to the bar to get a drink and the sweet bartender looked at me and she was like, ‘Girl, why are you waiting in line? Aren’t you playing here in like a month?’ I was like, ‘I am. Oh my god, I am.’ TWICE! Thank you all! Welcome to The Lucky Me Tour. You all made it possible for me to be here. Thank you so much. I’m having the time of my life.”
Hilary performed all of her biggest hits throughout the night, including “So Yesterday,” “Come Clean,” “Why Not,” and of course, “What Dreams Are Made Of” from The Lizzie McGuire Movie. She also performed music from her new album, Luck… or Something, including “Roommates,” “Mature,” and “Weather for Tennis.”
It was recently announced that both Los Angeles shows are being filmed, though it’s unclear yet how the footage will be used. Hopefully a concert film will be coming soon!
The evening began with opening sets from “Bulletproof” hitmaker La Roux, who is getting ready to drop her album Old Flames in November, and Jade LeMac, who has been gaining popularity on TikTok.
The tour continues on Thursday night, July 9, with a second show at the Kia Forum. Hilary will be touring across North America through mid-August, followed by European tour dates in September and then Oceania dates in October. She’ll be wrapping the tour in early 2027 with shows across Canada and Mexico.
