Ariana Grande has dropped out of the 13th season of American Horror Story.
The Oscar-nominated actress was announced as a cast member for the upcoming season back in October 2025 and fans were excited to see her reunite with TV creator Ryan Murphy, who she previously worked with on Scream Queens.
Ariana‘s exit is due to scheduling conflicts with her Eternal Sunshine concert tour, according to Variety.
AHS season 13 will premiere on FX and Hulu on September 24 and filming is underway, with many cast members returning to the franchise for the first time in years. While plot details are being kept under wraps, many believe that season 13 will be another installment in the Coven story as Sarah Paulson will be reprising her role as Supreme Cordelia Goode.
The Coven was spotted back together this week with the cast spotted in their witchy outfits while filming scenes in New York City.
Ariana‘s role was never confirmed, but she opened up about it last year.
“I know a little tiny bit. What I know I cannot say,” she told Variety. “I am coming into the world in a way that I don’t know much about yet… I received a text, a very exciting text [from Ryan]. I’ll probably have a very tiny thing to do in it, but I’ll be grateful to be a part of it because I love everyone in it.”
