Come join the party: it’s a celebration!
Just as news broke that Madonna officially notched her historic tenth No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with Confessions II, the 67-year-old Queen of Pop partied all through the night at Club Confessions: New York City at Knockdown Center on Saturday night (July 11) in New York City.
The “Bring Your Love” pop icon has been bringing her Club Confessions parties all around the world in the lead-up to the release of Confessions II earlier this month, including stops at The Abbey in West Hollywood and in Paris during Paris Men’s Fashion Week.
In a true full circle moment, Madonna brought the party to New York City two decades after appearing as a surprise guest DJ at a MisShapes party in October of 2005, where she debuted songs from Confessions on a Dancefloor alongside producer Stuart Price and DJ Junior Sanchez.
Just as she did over 20 years ago, Madonna teamed up with MisShapes, Junior Sanchez and Stuart to spin and sing along to tracks – this time mainly from her new companion album Confessions II, along with the first Confessions album and fan-favorites from her back catalog.
The party included sets from Honey Dijon, FCUKERS, Junior Sanchez and Sam-E, with Madonna eventually joining Stuart behind the DJ booth during his set.
At one point, she even grabbed the mic, hopped on the DJ booth and performed songs like “School” and “Bring Your Love” in front of a frenzied crowd of thousands of fans and famous friends, briefly flashing a glimpse of her briefs, which read “I Feel So Free.”
Absolut, the official vodka partner of Confessions II, hosted the Absolut Icon Lounge, complete with specialty cocktails, from the Absolut Madonna to the fiery Absolut Hot Sauce, named after one of her new songs, crafted with the new Absolut TABASCO.
The star-studded guest list for the event included Julia Fox, Ariana DeBose, Kim Petras, Evan Peters, HAIM, Christian Siriano, Frankie Grande, Pabllo Vittar, Sky Ferreira, Megan Fahey, Myha’la, Louisa Jacobson, Meredith Marks, Todrick Hall, Honey Dijon, Aquaria, Jeremy O. Harris, Kaytranada, Geordon Nicol, Leigh Lezark, Sophia Lamar, Lady Fag, Mel Ottenberg, Antwaun Sargent, Isaac Boots, Danielle Polanco, Ty Sunderland, Dianne Brill, Maluca, Chi Ossé, and Tristan Schukraft.
The party was also sponsored by Mistr, the sexual health platform which provides free online access to pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) to combat the spread of HIV.
