The 2026 FIFA World Cup Final is officially set.
The semifinals wrapped up on Wednesday (July 15), with defending champion Argentina defeating England 2-1 at Atlanta Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.
England took a 1-0 lead in the 55th minute on a goal from Anthony Gordon, but Argentina rallied late with goals from Enzo Fernández in the 85th minute and Lautaro Martínez in stoppage time. Lionel Messi assisted on both goals to send Argentina back to the World Cup Final.
Argentina will now face Spain in Sunday’s championship match (July 19) at New York New Jersey Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
