Gracie Abrams just dropped her new album, Daughter from Hell!
The 26-year-old singer released her third album on Friday (July 17) at midnight, and fans are already picking their favorites.
One early standout track is “Good Reason,” the sixth song on the album, which was written and produced by Gracie and Aaron Dessner.
On “Good Reason,” Gracie looks back on breaking someone’s heart who felt more strongly about her than she did them.
“That’s when I knew suddenly I would be leaving / And neither of us saw it comin’ / If only I had a good reason / That’s when I knew, honestly, you would start bleeding / Just to cover it up for my feelings / If only I had a good r?ason,” she sings in the first chorus.
Daughter from Hell “portrays a formative chapter that feels both deeply personal and widely universal. Grounded in emotional honesty and meticulous storytelling, the album finds Gracie embracing the complexity of growing up.”
Later this year, Gracie is heading out on a massive arena tour, The Look at My Life Tour, starting in December. She will start in North America, then head out overseas to Europe and the UK.
