Avengers: Doomsday isn’t even out until December, but it’s already making millions.

The latest entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe unveiled its much buzzed-about trailer this week, as tickets went on-sale to reserve seats for the film later this year.

According to a new report, the film has brought in $16.5 million in advance ticket sales after just one day of availability.

Variety, who reported the numbers, also noted that the pre-sale tickets were only for premium formats in only 1,000 domestic theaters. When it opens on December 18, it will be made available in 4,000 North American screens.

Tickets are on sale to see the film in “Infinity Vision,” which Marvel is calling “a new certification for Premium Large Format theaters, guaranteeing moviegoers an exceptional film presentation with big screens, bright images, and outstanding sound.”

Insiders say that showtimes for premium formats on Thursday, December 17 and Friday, December 18 are already “largely sold out,” and exhibitors are “reportedly adding more screenings for Christmas Day and beyond.”

The figure is also double that of the first-day pre-sales for Marvel’s Deadpool & Wolverine, which went on to enjoy an overall haul of $1.3 billion.

It’s not yet known what the exact budget is for Doomsday, although unverified reports have put it at a whopping $400 million, with another $300 million spent on marketing.

The movie is expected to have one of the biggest debuts of 2026.

Avengers: Endgame broke the record for largest opening weekend of all time back in 2019, and is the second-highest grossing movie of all time. Watch the trailer and see who will appear in the film!
