Elon Musk is apparently making his own version of The Odyssey.
This past weekend, Christopher Nolan‘s new epic was released in theaters and has already broken various box office records.
The film, which was also written by the Oscar-winning director, is an adaptation of Homer‘s ancient Greek epic that follows Odysseus, King of Ithaca, on his journey to return home after the Trojan War.
The Odyssey boasts an A-list ensemble, including Matt Damon as Odysseus, Tom Holland as Telemachus, Robert Pattinson as Antinous, Anne Hathaway as Penelope, Charlize Theron as Calypso, and Lupita Nyong’o as Helen of Troy.
Following the release of the movie, the 55-year-old tech mogul said that he will be using his AI tool Grok Imagine to make his own “historically accurate” version of Homer‘s epic.

“Before this year ends, Grok Imagine will make a full-length movie of The Odyssey that is historically accurate and true to the art of Homer,” Elon tweeted on X.
It’s important to note that The Odyssey is not based on a true story. It’s an ancient Greek epic poem that contains fictional and mythological elements such as witches, sirens, cyclopes, and interference from the gods. However, historians have agreed that the epic was built around a historical core.
Before The Odyssey was released, Elon complained several times about the stars Nolan cast in the movie, and particularly took aim at Lupita playing Helen of Troy, who in Greek mythology is said to have been the most beautiful woman in the world.
Following Elon‘s complaints about Lupita, this Emmy-winning actor came to her defense, saying that the Oscar-winning actress “IS the most beautiful woman in the world.”
