Season 2 picks up six months after the events of the first season, with rancher Staten Kirkland fighting to reclaim his legacy after being unseated as trustee of his family’s Double K Ranch, while musician Quinn O’Grady must decide if her heart truly belongs in the small town she once tried to outrun or in the fast-paced world of New York City. Are they star-crossed lovers, or fated to be together? In Ransom Canyon, true love stories are messy, complicated, and always worth the wait.

Ransom Canyon’s season three renewal status revealed
At the time of this post, Ransom Canyon has not yet been renewed for a third season on Netflix.
Showrunner April Blair confirms that they are currently planning out season three, but nothing has been made official by the streamer.
“In Season 3 we’re going to hit other pockets of building out this world,” she teased to TVLine. “There’s definitely a big event in Season 3 that Claire (Patricia Clarkson) in some form will need to show up for — whether that’s in person or over FaceTime with the deputy from Encinitas, we haven’t gotten to that episode yet. We’re currently in the writer’s room for Season 3, but we’re just at the beginning.”
