With Spider-Man: Brand New Day now in theaters, you might be wondering what Marvel movies are coming next and there are five films with release dates as of now.
Marvel used to release 3-4 movies per year, but the studio has cut back with just two films scheduled per year for both 2026 and 2027.
2025’s movies all performed a bit underwhelming at the box office – Captain America: Brave New World with $415 million worldwide, Thunderbolts with $382 million worldwide, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps with $521 million worldwide.
Both of 2026’s movies will likely be billion dollar hits though! Following Spider-Man: Brand New Day‘s July 2026 theatrical release, you can see Avengers: Doomsday this December.
Avengers: Doomsday – December 18, 2026
Avengers: Doomsday follows beloved heroes from three distinct universes as they’re set on a deadly collision course and face an existential threat unlike anything they’ve ever encountered.
Joe Russo and Anthony Russo are returning to direct the movie.
A star-studded cast is set with Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Pedro Pascal, Paul Rudd, Anthony Mackie, Florence Pugh, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Wyatt Russell, Channing Tatum, Simu Liu, Ian McKellen, Tom Hiddleston, James Marsden, Patrick Stewart, Joseph Quinn, Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, Letitia Wright, Lewis Pullman, Kelsey Grammer, Kathryn Newton, Danny Ramirez, Winston Duke, Alan Cumming, Hannah John-Kamen, Rebecca Romijn, Mabel Cadena, and Tenoch Huerta Mejia.
Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse – June 18, 2027
The third movie in the animated Spider-Man franchise, featuring Miles Morales as the webslinger, will be released in June 2027.
The film will take place directly after the events in 2023’s Across the Spider-Verse with Miles trapped in an alternate universe and trying to save his family.
The movie will feature the voice talents of Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Brian Tyree Henry, and many more.
Avengers: Secret Wars – December 17, 2017
The only cast member confirmed for Secret Wars right now is Robert Downey Jr.
Joe and Anthony Russo will direct this movie as well.
Ghost Rider – 2028
It was just confirmed that Ryan Gosling will lead a Ghost Rider movie for the MCU, with Shawn Levy as the director.
The movie will likely be released in the first half of 2028 as there’s already a major movie confirmed for December 2028.
Black Panther 3 – December 15, 2028
The third Black Panther movie has been confirmed for a late 2028 release with Ryan Coogler returning as the director.
David Jonsson will be playing the grown-up Prince T’Challa, the son of the late Chadwick Boseman’s character.
The casting advances Wakanda’s royal family rather than recasting Chadwick‘s character. Fans first met the prince as a child in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever‘s mid-credits scene, when Nakia revealed his name as Toussaint and he shared that his Wakandan name is T’Challa. The third movie will find him coming of age with his eye on Wakanda’s crown.
Also confirmed for the movie are Letitia Wright and Winston Duke.
Blade – No Release Date Yet
Mahershala Ali is attached to star in a reboot of Blade, but nothing else is known about the project as of now. The film has been in development for years and while it still remains on the Marvel website, there’s no release date as of now.
