Andy Grammer is now a dad of three!
In a new interview with People, the 42-year-old “Honey, I’m Good” singer announced that he and wife Aijia welcomed their third child together, another baby girl named West Lizette.
“We’re officially outnumbered,” Andy joked. “We welcomed our daughter, West Lizette Grammer, on June 17.”
Baby West joins the couple’s two older daughters: Louie, 9, and Izzy, 6.
In the new interview, Andy shared how he and Aijia, 40, came up with West‘s name.
“Our oldest daughter, Louie, 9, is named after Louisiana, and Izzy, 6, is Israel,” he explained. “We were trying to figure out if we were going to keep going with the location thing, and then from the backseat Louie said, ‘What about West?’ My wife and I were like, ‘Honestly, that’s really good,’ so we call her Westie.”
Andy went on to praise Aijia, who he has been married to since 2012, as an “absolute hero” after she endured Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG) for all three pregnancies. HG “is when extreme, persistent nausea and vomiting occur during your pregnancy. It can lead to weight loss and dehydration,” per the Cleveland Clinic.
“There wouldn’t be anything else worth her going through this except these little girls,” Andy said. “She loves our daughters. She did it, and she’s never going to do it again.”
Aijia added, “We are thrilled little West has joined us and made us a family of five. This third pregnancy with Hyperemesis Gravidarum was intense, but we feel that now our family is complete. Andy presented me with a medal that said ‘The Purple Heartburn Award’ for my third tour of pregnancy with HG. I have never felt more seen.”
Andy said that life at home is “just so good in a rocking chair with this baby and my two other girls snuggled on top of me.”
