Ariana Grande‘s closing track on her new album Petal is the song “Nowhere, Nobody.”
While much of the album features Ariana reflecting on relationship struggles and heartbreak, this song has her finding peace: either with someone else, or possibly just with herself.
“Deep breaths, honey / There’s no more running / And there’s nowhere with nobody else that I’d rather be,” Ariana sings on the chorus.
Some fans might think that Ariana is singing about reuniting with her former boyfriend Ricky Alvarez, who she is dating once again, but it seems unlikely as the album was finished before that relationship reignited.
Ariana co-wrote every song on the album with Swedish songwriter Ilya, with Max Martin joining for a few of the tracks.
Ariana just dropped 12 songs on her new album Petal, including the title track “Petal” and the lead single “Hate That I Made You Love Me.” Read her explanation about why she named the album Petal.
