James McAvoy is hitting the red carpet at the 2026 London Gala!
The 46-year-old had the support of wife Lisa Liberati at a screening of his directorial debut movie California Schemin’ on Wednesday (April 8) held at Odeon Luxe Leicester Square in London, England.
Cast members in attendance included Samuel Bottomley, Séamus McLean Ross, Rebekah Murrell, and Jennifer Winn.

Gavin Bain (McLean Ross) and Billy Boyd (Bottomley), the film follows the unexpected journey of two lifelong friends from Dundee who dream of hip-hop superstardom. There’s just one problem: nobody takes two white guys with thick regional accents seriously in the UK’s early 2000s rap scene, especially not the London gatekeepers who laugh them out of an audition.”
Along with directing California Schemin’, James also plays a record exec in it. The movie hits theaters in the UK on Friday, April 10.
In a new interview, James revealed that he and Lisa secretly welcomed a son four years ago!
For those who don’t know, James has been married to Lisa since 2022 and he also shares 15-year-old son Brendon with his ex-wife Anne-Marie Duff.
