
Kelly Clarkson is opening up about deciding to end her talk show.
Earlier this month, the 43-year-old entertainer announced that she was ending The Kelly Clarkson Show after seven seasons to focus on her kids. Kelly shares daughter River, 11, and son Remington, 9, with ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, who died in 2025 at 48 following a battle with cancer.
While appearing on Today on Friday (February 20), Kelly shared more details about ending her show.
Keep reading to find out more…“I think everybody probably gets the timing,” Kelly explained. “Our family life, the dynamic changed a bit, and it has changed for a minute now, so I think … it’s one of those things when you kinda start seeing life with how it is precious, too.”
“I know everybody thinks, ‘Oh, she’s quitting,’ but I still have other jobs,” the American Idol winner stressed. “I’m still doing stuff. There’s just too much on the plate. So I was like, you know what, it’s time to kinda pull back.”
She continued, “It’s amazing, that’s what was really hard [because] the crew’s been incredible. … That was a really hard thing for me, but an easy decision there as a momma.”
The final episodes of The Kelly Clarkson Show will air in Fall 2026.
Kelly also recently shared an update on how her kids are doing amid the death of their father.
