Ryan Reynolds‘s portrayal of Deadpool has turned the character into a box office success. However, another fan-favorite actor has previously revealed that they were considered to play the Merc with a Mouth.
If you didn’t know, Ryan first suited up as the Marvel antihero in 2009′s X-Men Origins: Wolverine. While the movie was not a hit, he got to don the iconic red suit again in the 2016 solo movie. Its success birthed a franchise that is going strong three movies in.
We’ve done some digging to see who else was up for the role. Only one star appears to have discussed auditioning for the project, but he’s a big name that might surprise fans!
