Rory McIlroy is opening up about the late night text messages that Tiger Woods sends to him and how they have “pissed off” his wife Erica Stoll.
The new book “Rory: The Heartache and Triumph of Golf’s Most Human Superstar” by Alan Shipnuck was just released and the golfer spoke to the author about his friendship with Tiger.
The book includes comments that Rory reportedly made about Tiger back in 2022.

“I’m drawn to him, yeah,” Rory said (via People). “He’s an intriguing character because you could spend two hours in his company and see four different sides to him. He’s thoughtful. He’s smart.”
Rory said that he idolized Tiger from a young age and they eventually became friends.
“He can’t sleep so that’s all he does—he reads stuff and educates himself on everything,” Rory said. “But he struggles to sleep, which I think is an effect of overtraining, so I tell him to calm down sometimes. He’d be texting me at four o’clock in the morning: ‘Up lifting. What are you doing?’”
“Erica actually got pissed off with it,” he added. “He was texting me in the middle of the night and I was like, ‘Tiger is in the gym.’”
The comments come just days after Tiger was involved in another car accident and arrested for DUI.
