There are 5 foods and spices you will not find on the menu at the 2026 Met Gala, taking place this evening.

The exclusive event – which happens on the first Monday in May – has the theme of “Costume Art” this year.

From Vogue: “‘Costume Art,’ curated by Andrew Bolton, will explore the relationship between clothing and the body beneath. The show—organized into a series of thematic body types, ranging from the Naked Body to the Pregnant Body and the Aging Body—will include garments and artworks from across The Met’s vast collection, and feature both historical and contemporary pieces from the Costume Institute. Moreover, ‘Costume Art’ will be the first show held in The Met’s new Condé M. Nast Galleries, a nearly 12,000-square-foot space adjacent to the Great Hall.”

While taking in the photos from the event, you may be wondering…what do guests eat when they’re at fashion’s biggest night?!

We’re bringing you the details about what foods are allegedly a no-no for Vogue‘s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.

A few years back while on the Today show, Jenna Bush Hager got some scoop and asked, “Is it true that you have banned chives, onions and garlic off the menu?”

“Those are three things I’m not particularly fond of. So yes, that’s true,” Anna responded.

An insider told the New York Post that Anna allegedly won’t allow parsley “because you don’t want that stuck in your teeth” and bruschetta because “it can fall easily on your gown.”

Find out the 2 celebrities that Anna Wintour will never invite back to the Met Gala.
