Scott Jennings made a shocking statement on social media about Mitch McConnell, the Republican senator from Kentucky.
If you don’t know, Jennings is a conservative CNN pundit. McConnell reportedly was hospitalized on June 14 after losing consciousness while at home in Washington, D.C. There have been few official updates on the status of his health, but just yesterday, reports alleged that he was brain dead.
Scott Jennings posted that he just spoke to Mitch McConnell, indicating he’s not brain dead
On X, Jennings said they spoke for 20 minutes and that he’s recovering.
“I spoke to my old friend Mitch McConnell this morning, the senior Senator from Kentucky. He’s still recovering in the hospital. We talked for just shy of 20 minutes … about IRAN, UKRAINE, the unfolding situation in MAINE, my visit to the TR Presidential Library, and even a little bit of Senate history. I told him we want to see him back at work as soon as possible,” Jennings wrote.
Jennings‘ post was met with skepticism.
Marjorie Taylor Greene, for example, responded, “Of course it is the great RINO Republican establishment hack and paid McConnell consultant that comes out with ‘proof of life.’ So pathetic you can’t even make it up.”
