Sacha Baron Cohen is reprising his role as Ali G!
The three-time Oscar-nominated actor and filmmaker will be first appeared as the character in 1998 on the Channel 4 show The 11 O’Clock Show and then played the role on his own show, Da Ali G Show, and in the movie, Ali G Indahouse.
Da Ali G Show also featured the character Borat, which served as the inspiration for two popular movies.
Variety has confirmed that Sacha secretly filmed a brand-new movie for Ali G, reprising the role in a movie for the first time in over 20 years. The news was first reported by The InSneider.
Ali G is known for his street interviews and using hip hop slang.
In addition to his iconic characters, Sacha is best known for his work in movies like Sweeney Todd, Hugo, The Dictator, Les Miserables, and The Trial of the Chicago 7, which earned him his first Oscar nomination for acting. He most recently appeared in the Netflix comedy film Ladies First, which is now streaming.
A release date for the Ali G movie has not been revealed and the film still hasn’t been officially confirmed by Sacha or his team.
