Daveigh Chase leaves behind a significant amount in personal property.
The Ring star, who was just 35 years old at the time of her death in June, had $400,000 in personal property, despite the fact she was reportedly living on the streets of Downton Los Angeles at the time of her death.
According to court documents obtained by Page Six, Daveigh‘s mother, Cathy Chase, said she had $400k in property left behind and asked the court to appoint her as the administrator of the estate.
Cathy said she believes Daveigh‘s father, John Schwallier, is residing in the Philippines and “keeps properties” in Las Vegas.
The actress was hospitalized in June and it was later confirmed that she had passed away from “acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) with other significant conditions included chronic polysubstance use.”
Her father reacted to the news recently, sharing that he was not surprised by her cause of death, because “it is what it is….It’s something you sometimes have to expect with the lifestyle she was living.”
Daveigh struggled with addiction issues and homelessness in her final years.
In response to reports that had emerged, her former manager released a lengthy statement and made several claims against the man who identified himself as Daveigh‘s boyfriend.
