Andrew Tate and his brother, Tristan Tate, were arrested in Miami on Saturday (July 18).
The siblings were taken into custody by US Marshals outside the James L Knight Center, where Andrew was to co-host an IBA Bare Knuckle boxing tournament, according to TMZ.
Their arrest comes after the UK’s Crown Protection Service announced they were bringing additional charges against the brothers in relation to four victims.
New charges against Andrew and Tristan Tate revealed
Per a statement released, Andrew is being prosecuted with “seven further counts of rape, three counts of arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation, three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and 19 additional charges for offences relating to indecent images of a child and extreme pornography.”
Tristan is being prosecuted with “one count of sexual assault, two counts of rape and three counts of arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation.”
The offences are alleged to have taken place between July 2010 and August 2017.
After their arrest, UK prosecutors are seeking the Tates to be extradited to the UK “in relation to the original 21 charges and the further charges which we have decided to prosecute.”
The original 21 charges are “11 counts including three counts of rape, six counts of actual bodily harm and two counts of human trafficking” for Andrew, and “10 counts including three counts of rape, four counts of actual bodily harm, two counts of human trafficking and one count of controlling prostitution for gain” for Tristan. These charges are related to three victims, while the new charges relate to four additional victims.
Andrew and Tristan were previously arrested in December 2022, and in June 2023, Andrew was charged with rape, human trafficking, and forming an organized crime group in Romania.
The Tate brothers returned to the US in early 2025 after years in Romania, fighting those legal battles.
