Rosario Dawson dropped a major Marvel bombshell on Saturday (July 25)!
While attending a Daredevil Q&A at GalaxyCon in Raleigh, North Carolina, the 47-year-old actress revealed that she filmed a scene for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which would have marked her return to the MCU.
However, she says she got cut from the final product.
“I even shot a scene in the new Spider-Man movie, but I got cut out,” Rosario said, via ComicBook.com.
The outlet reports that there were rumors swirling for a while about Rosario reprising her role as Claire Temple in the movie.
Following Peter Parker’s suffering from injuries and mutating in the upcoming Brand New Day, and teaming up with The Punisher, it’s likely he would’ve been taken to Claire for help.
If you recall, she played the night nurse across the Netflix Defenders Saga, appearing in Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, The Defenders, and Luke Cage.
Marvel has been incorporating the Defenders Saga characters into the MCU, with Charlie Cox even appearing in Spider-Man: No Way Home, followed by a return in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and the revival of the Daredevil series. Krysten Ritter, Finn Jones, and Mike Colter are also set to reprise their roles in the upcoming third season of Daredevil: Born Again!
Of course, Jon Bernthal is reprising his Punisher role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day after returning in Daredevil: Born Again and his own TV special, The Punisher: One Last Kill.
