Ariana Grande is celebrating her 33rd birthday TODAY (June 26) and it looks like she has ex-boyfriend Ricky Alvarez by her side to ring in the new year.
The Grammy-winning singer was spotted hanging out with Ricky and other friends while taking a break from touring on Thursday (June 25) in Austin, Texas.
Sources told TMZ that Ari and Ricky had lunch with some friends at a local restaurant on Thursday. So, what’s going on between them?
TMZ’s insider claim that “there is nothing romantic between Ariana and Ricky this time around.”
The sighting comes days after Ariana actually changed the lyrics to a Ricky mention in her song “Thank U, Next.”
Ariana begins the song by referencing all of her exes. She normally sings, “Wrote some songs about Ricky / Now I listen and laugh.”
For the Austin show on Wednesday, Ariana instead sang, “Wrote some songs about Ricky / Now they kinda slap.”
If you didn’t know, Ariana is newly single after recently breaking up with Ethan Slater after years of dating. They met while working together on the Wicked movies, in which she played Glinda and he played Boq.
