Charles Barkley was invited to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s wedding, but he didn’t attend.
The 63-year-old NBA legend visited Unfiltered With Ricky Bo & Bill Colarulo on Tuesday (July 7) and shared that he did get a wedding, but “politely declined.”
“I don’t go to weddings and funerals,” Charles admitted, adding, “I did get an invite, and I politely declined. Because I thought it was gonna be a crap show.”
He went on to say that he is fond of Travis and his brother Jason Kelce and he’s met Taylor once, but he’s not a fan of dressing up and going to events like a big wedding at Madison Square Garden.
“That’s just too much,” Charles continued. “I just wanna hang out and play golf, and I don’t wanna dress up and all that other stuff. But I appreciate the invitation; it was pretty special.”
There were hundreds of famous people at Taylor and Travis‘ wedding on Friday, July 3, but Charles is not the only big name to turn down the invitation for one reason or another. Stars like Ryan Seacrest and Robert Pattinson also ended up not going.
There were also many celebs did not make it on to the guest list at all.
