Dylan Sprouse spoke out against Jared Leto back in 2018 and now his tweet has resurfaced, along with a reply from Guardians of the Galaxy and Superman director James Gunn.
The former Suite Life of Zack & Cody actor, who was 25 at the time, accused Leto of sliding into the DMs of young models. At the time, he was newly dating model Barbara Palvin, who he would later marry.
Dylan tweeted, “Yo @JaredLeto now that you’ve slid into the dm’s of every female model aged 18-25, what would you say your success rate is?”
Dylan‘s tweet is still live on his account, but James Gunn‘s response does not seem to be. Screenshots still exist though.
Gunn replied, “He starts at 18 on the Internet?”
The director appeared to be accusing Leto of seeking out underage girls.
This week, Jared was accused of sexual misconduct by four women, who say they were teenagers when they had encounters with the Oscar-winning actor. One alleges that he sexually assaulted her when she was 17 years old in a motel bathroom. Another, at age 19, claims he threatened to sexually assault her.
Another says she was 17 years old when they had sexual relations and, under California law, she was not of the legal age to consent. She also alleges that when she told Leto this, he “shrugged off” her age. “It wasn’t a huge concern for him,” she apparently said. “He told me, ‘I would like you to call me daddy.’ And it was either pretend to be a little girl or ‘my little girl.’”
Another woman is making an allegation of grooming that she says happened when she was 16. He allegedly suggested they have sex. He allegedly wanted her to sign an NDA and she refused. The BBC says they have seen this NDA.
More allegations were included in a BBC documentary, but Jared is denying them all.
Jared Leto responded to these allegations, and denied them
He said in a statement to Just Jared, “I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life. These claims are absolutely and categorically false.”
