Apple TV has released the first trailer for upcoming For All Mankind spinoff series Star City.

Described as a “propulsive paranoid thriller,” the new space race drama stems from award-winning creators of the parent city, Ben Nedivi, Matt Wolpert, and Ronald D. Moore.

It will feature eight episodes and is an alternate history series premiering globally on Apple TV with two episodes on Friday, May 29, followed by one per week until July 10.

Star City, like its predecessor, goes back in time to an alt-history moment when the Soviet Union became the first to put a man on the moon.

“But this time, we explore the story from behind the Iron Curtain, showing the lives of the cosmonauts, the engineers, and the intelligence officers embedded among them in the Soviet space program, and the risks they all took to propel humankind forward,” shares the press release.

The series stars Rhys Ifans, Anna Maxwell Martin, Agnes O’Casey, Alice Englert, Solly McLeod, Adam Nagaitis, Ruby Ashbourne Serkis, Josef Davies, and Priya Kansara.

Earlier this week, Apple also announced the development of a new retirement community comedy starring Elizabeth Banks.

Jessica Chastain also provided an update on her show The Savant, which was previously pulled from the calendar after the assassination of Charlie Kirk due to its subject matter. However, now she says it will be coming out soon!
