The cast of This Summer Will Be Different just found two more stars!
Netflix announced on Friday (July 17) that Francesca Reale and Roby Attal have joined the cast of the upcoming series adaptation of the Carley Fortune book of the same name.
They join previously announced Sophie Nelisse, who takes on the lead role of Lucy.
What is This Summer Will Be Different about?
This Summer Will Be Different is a simmering, sun-soaked romance set across multiple summers on Prince Edward Island about Lucy, a young woman navigating her 20s and her first real love with her best friend’s brother, the one person she was never supposed to fall for.
Who do Francesca Reale and Roby Attal play?
Francesca has been cast as Bridget, Lucy’s best friend, while Roby will be portraying Bridget’s brother, Felix, who is Lucy’s first real love.
Created by Dane Clark and Linsey Stewart, This Summer Will Be Different will consist of 10 episodes and will be filmed on Prince Edward Island and in Toronto, Canada.
What other projects have Francesca and Roby appeared in?
You may recognize Francesca from the Prime Video movie Musica, alongside BFF Camila Mendes and Rudy Mancuso. She also starred alongside Stephanie Hsu in Laid and in the third season of Stranger Things.
This will mark Roby‘s reunion with Netflix, having previously starred in the short-lived series Partner Track. He has also had recurring roles in Lady in the Lake, The Sex Lives of College Girls, and, most recently, Dexter: Original Sin.
