Giuliana Rancic has a message for her ex-boyfriend Jerry O’Connell.
The former Fashion Police host and the actor previously dated from 2003 to 2004. The couple made over a dozen red carpet appearances together between March 2003 and June 2004. She later wrote about their breakup in her 2015 memoir, “Going Off Script.”
In a recent interview, Jerry was asked to comment on Giuliana‘s claims that he cheated on her and broke up with her via intercom.
“I broke up with her through an intercom because Giuliana Rancic came to my condominium. I was not expecting Giuliana Rancic to come to said condominium,” he said this week.
Jerry said on SiriusXM’s Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa that he “thank goodness” had security at his condominium so that no one could enter his home “unannounced.” He noted that “no one had a key, so the relationship was not like that.”
Giuliana alleged in her book that Jerry refused to buzz her into his condo one night and told her over the intercom, “Nope, sorry, homegirl. Things change, but you take care, OK?”
Jerry said in his new interview, “I don’t recall exact wording. I don’t recall exact wording, so I can’t deny that I said that. It doesn’t sound like something I would say, but again, if I was writing a memoir, it made for a good quote, so you know what? I’m gonna applaud Giuliana for using colorful dialogue and everything.”
Giuliana Rancic responds in a video
After Jerry‘s comments went viral, Giuliana posted a video to respond.
“Have you guys heard? Apparently my ex-boyfriend has been talking about our breakup publicly after 22 years. Hmm,” she began. “And it seems that his memory is a little fuzzy.”
“I could give two sentences like, ‘Blah, blah, blah, I wish him all the best,’ or I could just take a deep dive and make it a 40-minute podcast,” Giuliana added, confirming she’ll talk about it on her podcast with husband Bill Rancic.
She added, “Jerry, you are so invited. We’d love to have you. See you next week.”
