Jaafar Jackson has his family’s support at the premiere of his movie, Michael!
The 29-year-old singer and actor, who is the real-life nephew of the late Michael Jackson, walked the red carpet at the Michael premiere on Monday night (April 20) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
Jaafar posed for photos with his cousin Prince Jackson, the son of the late entertainer. Notably missing from the premiere were his siblings Paris, who has voiced criticism for the movie, and Bigi, who did attend a previous red carpet event.
Other family members at the premiere included Michael‘s siblings La Toya, Jermaine, Marlon, and Jackie.
The film has received support from the Michael Jackson estate, with the estate reportedly funding reshoots of the movie for about $10-15 million.
The movie will be released in theaters on April 24 and the soundtrack features 13 songs from Michael‘s career, spanning from his childhood through the Bad album, which came out in 1987.
