Jon Bon Jovi had to end his Madison Square Garden abruptly due to vocal issues.

The 64-year-old rocker was in the middle of his New York City show on Thursday night (July 23) when he stopped the concert and told fans that he could not continue.

Bon Jovi has been performing a residency at MSG this month and they were on the eighth of nine shows at the iconic venue.

Page Six reports that the band stopped the show after “Livin’ on a Prayer,” which is the 14th song on a 23-song set list for these shows.

What happened to Jon Bon Jovi at the MSG show?

“I’m sorry, I’m hurt and you’re not getting the best of me,” Bon Jovi told the crowd, according to Page Six‘s eyewitness.

He added, “Don’t throw away your ticket stubs, I’m gonna figure something out, OK? Just hold onto it, we’ll figure out how to reschedule. But I’m gonna have to cool it for the night.”

A Bon Jovi fan account on X noted that he’s suffering from a sinus infection right now.

There is one more show scheduled for Madison Square Garden on July 26.

The tour then moves to Europe at the end of the summer:
