Kevin McHale is calling out people who are continuing to push the narrative that there’s a “curse” among the Glee cast.
The actor, who starred as Artie on the Fox musical series, was best friends with co-star Naya Rivera, who tragically died from drowning in 2020. The cast also lost co-star Cory Monteith to a drug overdose in 2013 and co-star Mark Salling to suicide in 2018.
The docu-series The Price of Glee was released in 2023 and investigated the deaths of the three actors.

Kevin took to Twitter this week to slam people who are pushing the “curse” narrative.
He wrote, “let me log off today because the way too many of you talk about real people who have passed as a ‘sacrifice’ or a ‘curse’ in regards to a tv show is f–king diabolical and untethered from any sort of humanity or reality. get f–ked.”
Kevin previously addressed the “curse” chatter in a 2024 interview.
“We make jokes about a curse, which makes a lot of people uncomfortable,” he said on the Elvis Duran Show. “The amount of times we’ve said some things that everyone gets really quiet, we’re like, ‘No no, you [don’t] understand, if we don’t laugh about this we will all just be sad.’”
Kevin doesn’t believe in the curse though.

Kevin added, “I think it unfortunately is just a lot of horrible coincidences and accidents. It’s a big cast of a lot of young people and things happen. I think things happen on other shows as well and you’re working with crew members and things happen to crew members, you’re not necessarily hearing about that. But I just think a lot of unfortunate, really horrible accidents do happen.”
It was just announced that Kevin is making his Broadway debut in a popular musical.
