Kim Kardashian is addressing her recent Instagram activity.
On Thursday (July 16), Kris Jenner announced that her mother Mary Jo “MJ” Shannon had sadly passed away at the age of 91.
Moments after Kim, 45, shared a tribute mourning her beloved grandmother on Instagram, a post featuring several photos and videos from her recent lakeside getaway with her children, in which she captioned “lake life.”
After facing some criticism for posting the vacation photos immediately after the death of MJ, Kim took to her comments section to explain that the “lake life” post had been pre-scheduled to go up before her grandmother passed.
“This post was scheduled a few days ago before we lost MJ, so its timing came right alongside her passing,” Kim wrote. “I’ve been by mom and grandma’s side this past week, and my heart is completely with my family right now.”
“We love and miss her so deeply, and in the days ahead, we’ll be focusing on celebrating her beautiful life,” the reality star added.
