Kit Harington is reacting to getting sexual on camera with Sophie Turner.
The 39-year-old actor got candid about the experience of filming with his 30-year-old co-star for The Dreadful following their sibling-like relationship on Game of Thrones and off-screen.
“It was weird,” he admitted on Variety‘s Actors on Actors with fellow co-star Peter Dinklage.
The two played Jon Snow and Sansa Stark, and believed they were siblings before discovering they were actually first cousins in the show.
Sophie produced and co-starred in The Dreadful, and asked Kit to play her romantic partner.
“She sent me the script and I said, ‘Sophie, there’s a lot of us getting it on.’ She hadn’t seen that. She just said, ‘Yeah, Kit would be good for this part,” he reflected, noting he’s “known [Turner] since she was a child” and considers her like “a younger sister.”
In The Dreadful, Sophie plays a character named Anne whose life is changed when Kit‘s character comes back from the past. The movie is set in the midst of the War of the Roses, a series of civil wars fought by the English in the 1400s.
“We did it. It was gross but it was fine. She’s an amazing actor. I know we all know that but she was a child when she [started on Game of Thrones]. She is phenomenal!” Kit added. Watch the interview above.
The feeling was mutual: here’s what Sophie said about playing opposite Kit as his lover this time.
