Kyle Cooke is speaking out about photos that have circulated of him and ex Amanda Batula this week.
The Summer House and In the City stars were photographed laughing while leaving the In the City season one reunion on Thursday (June 11) in New York City, and the pics have caused quite the conversation online.
Now, Kyle took to his Instagram story on Saturday morning (June 13), the day after the pics came out, to address the conversations surrounding them and reveals what happened when the photos were taken.
“Alright, some of you have your tinfoil hats on, so I’m going to respond to the picture of me and Amanda laughing and smiling as we walk out from the In the City reunion,” the reality star said. “It was a pretty chaotic, action-packed reunion for a season 1 show, and you guys have a lot to look forward to, not only in the season but the reunion.””
“Amanda was in the hot seat, and she opened up a lot more than I would say she did in Summer House,” Kyle continued. “I was in the hot seat, a lot of people were in the hot seat and we all decided to go get a drink together. Like, group therapy after you, kind of, leave it all out there.”
“Amanda and I were headed down the elevator, walking out the door and just kind of laughing, like, ‘Can you imagine if there’s a photographer that captures us walking out together?’” he explained. “And then, boom, that’s exactly what happened. That causes us to laugh even harder, and yes, that’s all that there was to it, guys. That’s all there was to it, my God.”
Kyle and Amanda‘s Summer House season ten reunion just wrapped up this past week, but there are still episodes of spinoff In the City left to air before the reunion comes.
In the City picked up following the former couple, along with Lindsay Hubbard and their friends, into the fall after filming their regular lives outside of the Hamptons, right after the last season of Summer House.
