Laura Dern has released a statement on the tragic passing of her beloved Jurassic Park co-star Sam Neill.
If you didn’t see the news, Sam died at the age of 78 on Monday (July 13) in Sydney, Australia.
Laura, 59, and Sam played opposite one another in Jurassic Park, which was released in 1993. He played paleontologist Alan Grant and she played paleontologist Ellie Sattler.

“Sam was my beloved lifetime friend… He showed me the depths of loyalty, protectiveness and love always with the driest of wit. He was a true and noble gentleman, wrapped up in my dream leading man. I will love you forever, Dr. Alan Grant,” she said.
Back in April, Sam revealed that he was cancer-free after undergoing a special treatment. He was diagnosed with stage three blood cancer in March 2022.
He posted his final public photo just one month prior to his death.
