Lea Michele is joking about her Sardi’s portrait and how fans think it looks more like Idina Menzel than it looks like Lea.

The Broadway star was honored with a caricature portrait at the famed restaurant Sardi’s last week and photos went viral because fans didn’t think the artist did the best job.

Lea opened up about the portrait unveiling while appearing on Late Night with Seth Meyers with her Chess co-stars Nicholas Christopher and Aaron Tveit on Monday night (April 20) in New York City.

“It’s a real Broadway tradition,” Lea said, adding that she has been going to Sardi’s for 31 years after making her Broadway debut at eight-years-old.

Seth Meyers asked Lea if she was happy with her portrait.

“You know, it’s a little me, it’s a little Idina, it’s a little bit of both. But she did play my mother [on Glee], so we are, you know, related in some way, but it’s great,” Lea said.

Seth also asked Aaron if he liked his own portrait and his response was not convincing. Watch the full interview below!
