Melissa McCarthy is in talks to star in the upcoming thriller movie Turpentine and Connor Storrie is also rumored to be in the film.
The Oscar-nominated actress will be teaming up with The Penguin and Mare of Easttown director Craig Zobel for the upcoming project, according to Deadline.
The movie “follows a deadbeat son who hires friends to rob his own parents to pay off a bookie, with disastrous results.”
Connor is rumored to be playing the son. One day before Deadline broke their story about Melissa being in talks for the film, DeuxMoi put up a story saying that both actors are rumored to be working together in the project.
We’ll have to wait and see if Connor‘s casting is actually true or not, but this sounds like very exciting news if it’s real!
The movie was written by Justin Varava, who was previously a writer on the Disney Channel shows Wizards of Waverly Place and Bizaardvark. The script was featured on the Black List in 2024.
