The cast of Legally Blonde is reuniting for a truly special event!

Reese Witherspoon, Ali Larter, Jennifer Coolidge, Selma Blair, Matthew Davis, and Victor Garber attended Amazon Prime Video’s special “Elle World” pop-up event in New York City at Hall Des Lumieres on Saturday (June 20) in honor of the movie’s 25th anniversary.

The original cast was joined by the stars of the upcoming prequel series Elle, starring Lexi Minetree in the title role! June Diane Raphael, Tom Everett Scott, Chandler Kinney, Gabrielle Policano, Jacob Moskovitz, and Zac Looker joined Lexi to round out the main cast of the show, which premieres on July 1.

“Elle World” was a celebration of the milestone 25th anniversary and the new series, described as a “one-day NYC event bringing the world Elle Woods to life through experiential activations, exclusive merchandise, and can’t-miss surprises.”

Other guests included Bowen Yang, Hoku, Matt Rogers, and Vanessa Carlton. Selma also brought her son Arthur Saint Bleick!

What is Elle season one about?

Season one of Elle follows Elle Woods before she was a fish-out-of-water at Harvard. We meet her in 1995 as a fish in the tumultuous waters of high school where she encounters tricky friendships, forbidden romance, and questionable fashion choices.

Through it all, Elle uses her family as a touchstone, and forms an even tighter bond to her mother, proving that they can get through anything life throws their way as long as they have each other. With each challenge she faces, Elle grows closer to the Elle Woods we know and love today.

When will it be released on Prime Video?

The series will hit Prime Video on July 1, 2026, and is already renewed for a second season as well. Watch the trailer!
