Ryan Lochte is ready to start a new relationship milestone with Molly Gillihan!
The Olympic legend is engaged after popping the question last week at Prime and Pearl in Gainesville, Fla., the same restaurant where the couple had their very first date.
The proposal came as Ryan and Molly were celebrating their move to Missouri, making the night a major full-circle moment for the couple.
Ryan made sure the proposal was packed with sweet and romantic details, like lining a path with red rose petals before they sat in the same booth where they had their first date.
After the proposal, to which Molly said yes, the pair celebrated with a kiss.
Ryan opened up about the engagement to TMZ, saying he’s thrilled about the next step with his fiancée.
“I’m on cloud 9 she said yes. I’m happy this is my new beginning, and I couldn’t do it without her,” he said.
Ryan and Molly went Instagram official over Fourth of July weekend last year, though they’ve reportedly been together for about 14 months.
This will be Ryan‘s second marriage, as he previously married Kayla Rae Reid in 2018. She filed for divorce in June 2025 and listed their date of separation as March 2025.
