As Spider-Man: Brand New Day hits theaters, fans are already eagerly discussing the future of Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man in the MCU.
The 30-year-old actor recently made a comment about the film franchise that has some fans speculating that there may be a fifth movie on the way.
Tom was being interviewed by HugoDécrypte when he was asked during a rapid-fire series of questions whether he’d return for a fifth Spider-Man film “without hesitation.”
“Pass,” he said, looking off to the side, skipping only that question.
In another recent interview, Tom acknowledged that there’s a plan to pass along the role to another star.
“There’s a whole plan that we have been working on for, I would say, since we finished Spider-Man: No Way Home…it’s laid out. It’s gonna change for sure, but I have a really clear vision to the passing on of the baton, and I think it’s really exciting,” he said on Happy Sad Confused.
Tom Holland has played Peter Parker in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in four Spider-Man films: Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) and Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026). His arc began in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, then he appeared in 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War and 2019’s Avengers: Endgame.
