Taylor Swift is, yet again, sending Swifties into a spiral.
The 36-year-old folklore singer-songwriter has made a tiny update to three songs on Spotify, and fans are freaking out as they try to figure out what the Easter egg could possibly mean.
Over the weekend, red, green and purple canvases (the background image or video on Spotify) have popped up on the following three songs: “I Knew It, I Knew You” (her Toy Story 5 song) which turned green, the Piano Version of the song which turned purple, and then her 1989 anthem, “Blank Space,” which turned red.
Fans are thrown by the inclusion of “Blank Space,” and there are tons of theories being thrown around, but no one seems to know what it means yet.
“ikiiky makes sense if it’s debut tv but why blank space?” one fan commented on social media, referring to the fact that she may be releasing the “Taylor‘s Version” re-recording of her debut album, which is associated with the color green.
“Ok here me out: Red- 4th album, Purple(speak now)- 3rd album & dark Green(reputation) 6th album… so if you take addition of all the three numbers… 4+3+6=13. TS 13!!!!!!!!!” another fan wrote, suggesting a new album – her 13th studio album – might be on the way.
“OMG RED TV DEBUT TV AND SPEAK NOW TV,” another excitedly said.
